Coloratura Exhibition

Cartier celebrates its first international event in Saudi Arabia on the 8th of February 2019 presenting its latest high jewelry collection Coloratura in Riyadh, with exclusive novelties created for the Maison’s Saudi clients.

Held in one of The Kingdom’s most iconic buildings, the late King Faisal’s palace Qasr Al Maazer.

Coloratura is presented in conjunction with an exhibition of pieces from the Cartier Patrimony Collection, especially flown in for the occasion and illustrating the Maison’s main creative influences throughout its history.

María Félix and her real larger than life necklace

The magnificent Crocodiles necklace was commissioned by equally bold actress and singer MaríaFélix. Each crocodile is fully articulated and may be worn as a brooch.

A sublime necklace for the “world’s most elegant woman”

The striking Hindu necklace, made in the Indian style, was commissioned by Daisy Fellowes, often named “the world’s most elegant woman” by magazines of the 1920s and ’30s. This figure of Parisian society boasted two qualities without which elegance tends to be overlooked: taste and audacity.

Embodying Cartier’s constant reinvention through bold new techniques, Coloratura takes you on a journey to the four corners of the globe, symbolic of Cartier’s long-standing relationship with India, Africa and the Orient. With dynamic stone pairings, unexpected color palettes and the illusion of infinite movement, Coloratura also features exclusive pieces, created by Cartier especially for its Saudi clients.
